Souji Okita is, first and foremost, a samurai. He was something of a child prodigy, and thus, despite being only 21, is an excellent swordsman. His personality, however, is more that of a hyperactive child most of the time, and while he's perfectly capable of acting his age, largely chooses not to. As a result, he comes across as a bit... flamboyant.
In a fight, he becomes something of a terror to behold, but that only happens if he or someone he wishes to defend are threatened. He doesn't pick fights on his own. He has TB, but tends to downplay the seriousness of his illness to others.
